Walkerville Terrace, Gilberton

A $200 million, 10-storey apartment building with supporting retail development and refurbishment of the Local Heritage Buckingham Arms Hotel.
1 Walkerville Tce

A total of 130 studio, one, two, three and four bedroom apartments. High amenity communal areas, including pool deck, gym, wine room and golf simulator. Over 1,000 square metres of food and beverage activities on the ground level.

URPS added value by successfully convincing the SCAP that a 10-storey building was suitable for this location, which was 2 levels above the maximum height afforded to SDS. URPS returned to fundamentals – meeting with community leaders and decision makers face to face. We invested time and applied our deep expertise to present the project in a way that built understanding and trust.

This approach gave decision makers confidence in the design and helped the community see the potential.
