A 3-storey vertical “learning village” with three discreet neighbourhoods and a naturally lit and ventilated central atrium as its town square. There are diverse learning spaces for art, science and technology, as well as maker spaces and industry-occupied enterprise spaces. A complex triangular site within a partially historic area, the building is also connected to the main campus via a pedestrian bridge at the first-floor level.
URPS added value by garnering support from the Kensington Residents Association and obtaining approval from SCAP, despite some resistance from the local Council.
