URPS was engaged by Wander a privately owned tourist accommodation provider which seeks to provide luxury, eco-aware transformational travel and accommodation nestled in some of Australia’s most spectacular locations.
Their first Kangaroo Island project sought to locate tourist pods within three locations overlooking the famous Snellings Beach in Kangaroo Island.
The location required careful placement to minimise impacts on the natural landscape and disruption to local bird life.
URPS added value by working closely with the design team and the Coastal Protection Board to ensure these planning considerations were satisfied.
