Pitt Street Laneway Upgrade

Engagement kept the city moving through construction in a busy CBD laneway.
Pitt Street

The Pitt Street upgrade is the final part of the Market to Riverbank link project – a $14.6 million joint investment project between the Adelaide City Council and the State Government (through Renewal SA). It creates a pathway between the Adelaide Central Market and the Adelaide Riverbank.

Key stakeholders in this busy laneway including Her Majesty’s Theatre, the Hotel Metropolitan, Care Park and Uniting Communities have been kept everyone well informed and prepared for impacts every step of the way.

URPS added value by using a case-management approach to engaging with important stakeholders. Our weekly updates ensured that everyone who uses the street knew what to expect and how they could safely move through the site at all times.
