Moonta Street Upgrade

Agile engagement matched to a vibrant and iconic street.
Moonta Street

Located in the heart of Chinatown, Moonta Street is both a recreation and tourism destination that also provides an important access to the Adelaide Central Market. Keeping it operation during its upgrade was critical.

Every community is unique. Our engagement team adapted to the communication preferences of the Moonta Street community. This meant more frequent information translated to Chinese. We also harnessed the networks, trust and influence of recognised leaders in this community as a valuable way to disseminate information.

Ensuring that visitors understood that Moonta Street was open for business was a key part of our engagement team’s construction engagement strategy. This involved clear wayfinding signage throughout (in English and Chinese) and maintaining visual connections to shop fronts via low, waist-height fencing.
