Outback SA Strategic Blueprint

The Outback is vast and its communities are unique. This makes engaging with Outback communities challenging. Outback residents often are excluded from face to face engagement. But we know that their diverse lived experience is invaluable in shaping decisions that affect them.
Outback SA

The Outback Communities Authority invested heavily to make sure they heard from these communities. URPS was up for the challenge and relished the opportunity. We visited 25 communities by light plane, car and four-wheel drive. From Fowlers Bay in the far west coast. To Innamincka and Marla at the top corners of South Australia.

We engaged in shearing sheds and pubs, community halls and football clubs. Meaningful conversations with community where it suited them best. This built trust, showed integrity and provided insight. This award-winning engagement program demonstrated that in investing in engaging with Outback communities pays dividends.
