Brompton Gasworks

Inner-city living at its best brought to you with help from URPS’ engagement.
Gasworks Brompton

The Brompton Gasworks site is being redeveloped into a vibrant, medium-density, mixed-use, urban village. A Code Amendment was required to better align development assessment provisions with the Concept Design for the site.

The proposed policy amendments will provide the Council and community with more certainty about how the land will be developed. They also increase open space and help ensure the retention and rejuvenation of the site’s heritage buildings.

URPS added value by breaking-down the policy changes into easily understood components. This was delivered through a series of targeted fact-sheets and complemented by face-to-face engagement through community drop-in sessions.
