Mixed-use Commercial Development, Sellicks Beach

Development in Sellicks gained the thumbs up from the community.
Sellicks Beach

Understanding that Sellicks Beach is on the cusp of change and that the community might have a range of views about the development, URPS worked hard to make sure the development proposal was well understood.  This involved a range of tactics including letterbox drops of a fact sheet, responding to direct enquiries, and running two community drop-in sessions.

Feedback from the community was overwhelmingly positive and that the proposed development would provide much needed local services.  They also appreciated the opportunity to understand the project and being asked their views.

This means that the proponent clearly understood community sentiment prior to lodging the development application, providing certainty in the development assessment process.
