Biodiversity Act Draft Principles

Legislation shapes the future. Getting it right means hearing the right voices. URPS helped make this happen.
Biodiversity Act

The existing legislation faced criticism about its ability to fully support biodiversity. This process aimed to build a stronger foundation for legislative change. We led a thoughtful and inclusive engagement process to support South Australia’s new Biodiversity Act.

Our team brought together a wide and diverse group of stakeholders. The focus was clear: develop meaningful legislative principles.

We used a hands-on, collaborative approach. Deep-dive workshops explored key themes. Small group sessions shaped ideas through iterative design. A carousel process helped refine the draft principles. Real-time sentiment testing with Mentimeter gave instant feedback and built confidence.

The result? Clear, community-informed principles that help guide the new legislation.
