A $350 million, 33-storey student accommodation building with a new three-storey addition to a State Heritage Place to support the vitality of the earliest surviving Anglican Church in South Australia.

The largest student accommodation building in the state, 88 North Terrace includes 1000 student bed and will be complemented by three full-floors dedicated for student amenities. A generous and inviting landscaped promenade completes the link between the Church buildings and the new tower from North Terrace.

URPS added value by facilitating robust meetings with Heritage SA and the Government Architect both on and off-site. At one on-site meeting, URPS encouraged a representative of the Church to manually remove cement render from a State Heritage Place under the supervision of a Principal Heritage Architect from Heritage SA. This enabled real-time demonstration of the possibilities of heritage conservation works and demonstrated our ability to link applicant with agency.
