Colley Terrace, Glenelg

Construction of a 12-level residential flat building in the heart of Glenelg.

13 Colley Terrace

The Taplin Group received Planning Consent to construct a 12-level residential flat building at 13 Colley Terrace, Glenelg. The building contains 77 dwellings comprising a mix of 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom apartments and car parking across 3 levels, together with landscaping.

The development exceeded four-storeys in height in the Design Overlay in Metropolitan Adelaide and therefore required a decision by the State Planning Commission, under delegation to the State Commission Assessment Panel (SCAP).

The application was referred to the City of Holdfast Bay, the Government Architect and the Environment Protection Authority. The GA supported the form and scale of the design conceptually. The referral agencies and the Council provided advice.

It is a great example of high-density residential development located in a prominent location in the Urban Neighbourhood Zone.
