Mitcham Retirement Housing

Early and proactive Community and Stakeholder engagement wins support from the community and the local Council.

Trice wanted to develop a multi-storey apartment building for over 55’s on Belair Road at Kingswood. The project faced potential community backlash because of its unprecedented scale in an area of low density housing.

This is why we engaged early to get the community on-board.  We created a fact sheet that clearly explained the development and its benefits.  We also held information sessions where locals could ask questions and share ideas.

We found out what is most important to locals and how best to address their concerns.  This meant less opposition to the development application and unanimous support for the Council.
