Environment

Planning for sustainable environments and liveable communities.

We work in partnership with stakeholders and the community to understand the environment we are working in and identify opportunities to deliver a sustainable future.

Our economies and communities rely upon the health and productivity of our natural resources.

Our natural environment is essential to the health and productivity of our communities and industries. Across urban, regional and rural areas natural resources provide food, fibre, climate regulation, ecosystem services and amenity, and are of cultural and spiritual significance to First Nations peoples. We tailor our approach to reflect the unique context of each project.

As climate change exacerbates existing threats and introduces new challenges, understanding the impacts on our people, places and economy is critical so we can prepare, mitigate and adapt.

The policies, plans and processes we facilitate are underpinned by our understanding of the strategic context, backed up by scientific evidence and guided by the priorities of stakeholders and the community.

Our expert environment offerings include:

  • Climate risk assessment and management
  • Natural resource management
  • Sustainability and greening strategies and action plans
  • Emergency management risk assessment and management
  • Building sustainability reports
  • Leading environmental impact assessments and approvals.
