Wudinna Community and Growth Strategic Plan

An achievable plan that enables the regional community’s long term goals and population growth.

Council has a vision to reverse the population decline of its main service town – Wudinna.

Council engaged URPS to prepare two plans that would support this vision and stimulate investment within the town. The first plan was a growth strategy and the second was a strategic plan.

URPS added value by bringing the two plans together. We were able to successfully deliver one plan that met the requirements of both plans in a way that was more cost effective, efficient, coordinated and underpinned by genuine community participation. Consolidating the plans provided a better long-term solution with reduced ongoing review and reporting requirements.

URPS worked closely with the Council and township communities to prepare a plan that addressed key challenges and captured the active community spirit. The plan’s actions are practical to deliver recognising the finite resources of Council.
