Glenside Building Height

URPS leaned in to challenging conversations with the community to position this project for success.
Glenside

Building height can be a hot topic in our communities. This Code Amendment proposed increasing the building height from 8 storeys to 20 storeys. Glenside is surrounded by a well-establshed and highly engaged community.

URPS turned towards the community, working together with the design team to present easy to understand information. The use of 3D video fly throughs and easy to understand overshadowing diagrams were just some of the ways we communicated. We deployed a highly experienced team of engagement facilitators and planning experts to work closely with the community to make sure all information was well understood. We worked with community to present both the strategic benefits of this building height in this location, as well as how local impacts would be managed.

Reporting on the outcomes of the engagement process was thorough and balanced.
