Environmentally Sustainable Design Reports

Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD) reports help developers show how their designs include sustainable features that address multiple Planning and Design Code policies.

Environmentally Sustainable Design Reports

URPS has prepared ESD reports ESD Reports for varied development including a 14 storey hotel at 15-19 Halifax Street and 86 apartments/townhouses at Dock One North.

Assessment authorities have looked favourably on these reports which demonstrate how proposed development will deliver more sustainable outcomes. URPS added value in these by:

  • Using a strong planning lens to directly identify how ESD features address Planning & Design Code policies – we make the direct link so that assessment officers don’t have to.
  • Using graphics to clearly identify the ESD features of the development, making for an easy and engaging read.
  • Closely tying ESD reports into broader development applications to strengthen their pitch and increase likelihood of planning approval.
