Marcus Rolfe

Marcus is renowned for going the extra mile. Interrogating planning provisions for meaning. Crafting persuasive argument and clear messages. Doggedly pursuing worthy development proposals.

As our inaugural Managing Director for 10 years, Marcus helped establish URPS’ reputation for rigour, delivery and planning excellence.

He now devotes his time to coordinating projects with allied consultants and clients as a key part of the URPS management team.

Marcus is recognised for his expertise in development assessment and facilitation.  He uses his excellent understanding of the mechanics of development legislation and planning guidelines in his regular appearances before assessment panels and as an expert witness before various courts and tribunals.

With a background in strategic planning in South Australia and New South Wales, Marcus also enjoys strategic thinking and policy development.  His wide-ranging experience means he has highly developed skills in consulting with public authorities, special interest groups and the general community.

Going the extra mile also sees Marcus actively involved in several industry organisations, often advocating for improved systems and planning reform.
