Anita Allen

Anita has helped shape the South Australian planning system as it is today.

Playing a central role in the introduction of the Planning & Design Code and other new planning instruments in South Australia, Anita has demonstrated her technical know-how and supporting skills in leadership, stakeholder management, community engagement, governance and change management.

In addition to leading parts of the planning reform program, Anita has held a range of senior management roles within the South Australian public sector. For example, she led the State Government’s Case Management Service for significant development applications in the CBD and inner metropolitan area. She was also responsible for the delivery of the State’s rezoning program.

This wide-ranging experience has given Anita valuable insight into how to position new projects/ideas to different stakeholders.

Versatile, experienced, hard-working.

Combined with a hunger for reform and improvement, Anita is uniquely placed to drive complex planning initiatives and deliver under pressure.
