Habitat for Humanity’s vision of “a world where everyone has a decent place to live” resonates with us. We have been supporters of Habitat for years volunteering in Global Village builds in Cambodia and providing pro-bono planning advice for numerous Habitat projects in South Australia.
We’ve enjoyed getting behind Habitat’s latest initiative in SA – ReStore.
This is a social enterprise that rehomes building materials leftover from construction projects. It’s an example of the circular economy in action filling a much-needed gap in the upcycling market.
ReStore offers:
- A win for the environment with the repurposing of materials that would otherwise end up in landfill.
- A win for the consumer who can cut their building costs with affordable products.
- A win for Habitat with the profits being reinvested in housing projects for vulnerable South Australians.
Check out ReStore at 102 Port Road, Alberton.
