Andrew Chown

Andrew is a specialist policy and strategic planner who is also a skilled project manager. He has prepared and managed many Development Plan Amendments, strategic plans and a range of different planning, economic development, and community projects in both urban and rural settings.

As a consultant, Andrew is acutely aware that our wide-ranging clients typically share the same overarching objective – high quality planning services on time and within budget.

Andrew’s understanding of government provides invaluable insights. He has a background in leading teams within Local Government in both day-to-day service delivery and facilitating of projects of regional and State significance. His experience extends across varied jurisdictions in both South Australia and Tasmania. He also has a proven record working closely with State Government, developers, and community stakeholders.

This varied experience, combined with Andrew’s project management skills, adaptability and focus on delivery, make him a true all-rounder bringing great versatility to the URPS team.

Andrew also has a passion for aviation and is currently completing a Graduate Diploma in Aviation Management. This adds to his capacity to deliver aviation and airport related projects on behalf of specialist clients.
