Mentoring Young People Beyond the Office

Our Emily Mansfield loves robotics.  They have done much to transform society by undertaking dangerous, mundane and very precise jobs.  They have also increased productivity and given us more time to focus on new ideas and creativity.

Emily has excelled in robotics for many years, attending four international competitions and winning numerous awards as a member of Team RoboRoos.

She is now passing on the baton by mentoring the team, helping them reach international events another four times in recent years – three times at the World Championships in the USA and once at the Open Internationals in Greece.

This year, Emily’s team qualified for another international competition – the Asia Pacific’s Open Championships – after winning the State competition and placing second at the National titles.

Competing virtually at this championship last weekend, the RoboRoos excelled against the best teams from around the world and won the Robot Design Award.

Good on you Emily and congratulations to your team.
